Holstein Kiel

The KSV Holstein, commonly known as Holstein Kiel, is a registered sports club with about 3300 members from the capital of Schleswig-Holstein Kiel. Nationwide, the club is best known for its soccer department, whose first team belonged to the highest German division until the introduction of the Bundesliga in 1963. The club colors of the club popularly known as Die Störche are blue, white and red. The first men's soccer team has been playing in the Bundesliga since the 2024/25 season and plays its home games in the Holstein Stadium, which currently holds 15,034 spectators.

THW Kiel

The THW Kiel is a sports club from Kiel. He comes from the originally independent municipality of Hassee and its district Winterbek. The club was founded on February 4, 1904. The club is known primarily for its handball department, whose Bundesliga game operations on July 1, 1992 in the THW Kiel Handball-Bundesliga GmbH & Co. KG on July 1, 1992. THW Kiel plays in the Handball Bundesliga and is one of the most successful handball teams in the world.

FC Kilia Kiel

As one of the first clubs Kilia had already in 1913 its own sports field - at that time for footballers still far from a matter of course. Also today the Kiliaplatz is at the Hasseldieksdammer way/corner Mühlenweg.
On 9 June 1919 the tribune was inaugurated, which is as soccer wooden tribune the oldest still existing in completely Northern Germany and now soon 100 years exists.
The footballerischen bright times of the FC KILIA on national level, as the largest rival of the local competitor Holstein Kiel at that time, have their origin already in the early years of the 20th century. After the Second World War, after a successful restart, an up and down between the various divisions developed. When something like the "golden 80s" dawned for the Kilians, the best players were "bought away" by higher-class clubs. For example, Tobias Homp moved to the Bundesliga (Hamburger SV), as did Sidney Sam (Hamburger SV, Bayer Leverkusen, FC Schalke 04, among others), who even became a national player and made it to five international matches.
Currently, seven youth teams, two women's teams and one men's team play for the traditional club.

DHSH

The Duale Hochschule Schleswig-Holstein (DHSH) is a state-recognized university of applied sciences sponsored by the Schleswig-Holstein Business Academy. At the Kiel location, the dual and practice-oriented Bachelor's degree programs in Business Administration and Business Information Systems as well as the part-time Master's degree program in Digital Business & Innovation are offered. To this end, the DHSH works with a large network of cooperating companies in Schleswig-Holstein and beyond.

KTV Adler

Kieler Turnverein/KTV is the second oldest and at the same time one of the largest clubs in the city of Kiel. Versatile sports offer adapt to the constantly changing and current needs of athletes. The current flagship represents the first men's team in the second volleyball Bundesliga. Since the 2018/19 season, the "ADLER" of the volleyball Bundesliga have been causing a sensation and repeatedly serve as a role model for youth and popular sports.

TSV Altenholz

With the establishment of a joint GmbH "Team Handball Altenholz" TSV Altenholz and THW Kiel Nachwuchsleistungshandball GmbH set new standards in handball. What took place earlier already frequently by a co-operation on the sporty side by the double play right, runs now also in the economic range. Under the motto "join forces", the GmbH has been up and running since 01.07.2015 and supports the men of the 3rd League North.
