The Mecklenburg Lake District in north-eastern Germany impresses with its natural diversity, consisting of countless lakes, forests and a rich history. Macro-geographically, the region is conveniently located between Berlin, Hamburg and Rostock. Transport links are provided by the A19 and A20 freeways and rail routes to Berlin and the Baltic Sea coast.
